I've always wanted pursue broadcast meteorology as a career. When I was a kid, I would stand in front of my computer screen and pretend to give the forecast for hours on end. Now, it feels like life has come full circle. Join me for KOMU 8 News Today on Saturdays at 6 and 9 a.m. and Sundays at 7 a.m.
I want to be the smiling face that helps get you out the door, but I also want to keep mid-Missourians safe and calm when weather is at its worst.
I grew up in the Kansas City area but didn't visit mid-Missouri until I decided to tour Mizzou, hoping to pursue a degree in Atmospheric Science. After being in town for about half an hour, a tornado warning was issued. That warning was the only sign I needed to know that I was in the right place.
When I'm not at KOMU 8, you can usually find me looking up at the sky hoping to catch one of the many gorgeous sunsets mid-Missouri has to offer. I'm also a huge dog enthusiast and I'll be looking to add a furry friend to my family soon.
