    IRVINE, CALIFORNIA - The Columbia Cougars men's soccer team is still undefeated after its 2-0 quarterfinal win over Oklahoma Wesleyan on Wednesday.

    The first half was a battle that ended with Oklahoma up 1-0. Columbia came close to putting up the first point, but the Eagles starting goalie, Alex Vidizzoni, made the save.

    SIOUX CITY, IA - Central Methodist volleyball has made the sweet 16 after a victorious match up in the NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship.

    The no. 12 ranked team won 3-0 against Indiana University-Kokomo. The Eagles made their stance with a 7 point lead in the first set. They made another stand out start in the third set with a 12-1 lead.

    COLUMBIA - Mizzou's losing streak extends to three games with a 68-60 loss to Charleston Southern.

    The Tigers were careless with the ball in this game, turning it over 16 times, while also shooting just 15.4 percent from the three point line. Charleston Southern shot 45.5 percent from the three, with four players ending in double figures.

    COLUMBIA- Following a rewarding Monday for the Mizzou volleyball red shirt sophomore, Andrea Fuentes was met with some more good news Tuesday morning.

    After being named the SEC Player of the Week and Setter of Week Monday, Fuentes now claims the AVCA Division 1 Player of the Week award following match ups against Ole Miss and LSU this past week.

    NEW YORK (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders met Monday with baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred to discuss MLB’s proposal to that would drop 42 minor league teams from their leagues after the 2020 season.

    MLB is negotiating a new agreement with the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues, the governing body of the minors. The initial proposal primarily would impact lower-level teams in short-season leagues.

    The Royals and left-hander Mike Montgomery have agreed to a $3.1 million contract for next season to avoid salary arbitration.

    The club’s once-heralded prospect returned to Kansas City last season as part of a trade with the Cubs. He went 2-7 with a 4.64 ERA down the stretch.

    COLUMBIA - Missouri football is in need of a new head coach after MU Athletic Director Jim Sterk fired Barry Odom on Saturday. Here are three numbers to know with Sterk in the middle of the coaching search. 

    $3.05 million - That was Barry Odom's guaranteed annual salary for this past season until he was fired Saturday. That ranked 47th among FBS coaches this past season. Even though the athletic department has to deal with some financial obstacles, Athletic Director Jim Sterk says there is a range of what MU is able to pay depending on experience and success of coaching candidates.
