MRI reveals dislocated kneecap for Patrick MahomesPosted on 18 October 2019 at 4:07pm
KANSAS CITY - The extent of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' leg injury sustained during the team's Thursday night 30-6 win over the Broncos is now known.
NBC Affiliated KSHB reported Friday an MRI revealed Mahomes suffered a dislocated knee cap on a QB sneak in the 2nd quarter.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said in a tweet sources told him Mahomes will return to the gridiron after a "brief absence", which according to the Washington Post via a report from the Associated Press, could be four to six weeks.
The Chiefs (5-2) next host the Green Bay Packers (5-1) on Oct. 27 and may have to rely on backup quarterback Matt Moore who finished last night's game 10-19 with 119 passing yards and a touchdown through the air.
