Arrest made in Jefferson City mall shots fired incident
JEFFERSON CITY — The Jefferson City Police Department arrested a suspect after a shots fired disturbance on June 26 at the Capital Mall.
Video footage shows a shooter aiming at a vehicle, according to a statement from the Jefferson City Police Department.
Jernail Hickmon was taken into custody. Police found a firearm, bullet-proof vest and narcotics, according to the statement. Hickmon was a previously convicted felon, and prohibited from possessing a firearm, according to the statement.
The Jefferson City SWAT team and members of the Cole County Sheriff's Department served the arrest warrant just outside of city limits.
