Chiefs hold off Patriots in division clinching victory
FOXBOROUGH — The Kansas City Chiefs' defense stopped the New England Patriots in a 23-16 win Sunday.
The Patriots got off to a quick 7-0 lead, but Kansas City turned it around from there.
The Chiefs defense blocked a field goal, forced a turnover on downs, and picked off Tom Brady en route to 20 unanswered points going into halftime.
The Chiefs added on a field goal before New England got on the board again to cut Kansas City's lead to 23-13.
The Patriots started to mount a late comeback, but the Chiefs defense stopped New England on 4th and goal to secure the 23-16 victory.
With the win, Kansas City improves to 9-4 and clinches the division, while the Patriots fall to 10-3.
The Chiefs will hope to keeping it rolling as they host Drew Lock and the Denver Broncos on Sunday at 12 p.m.
