Crash slows traffic on East Highway WW

COLUMBIA - Missouri State Highway Patrol has cleared the scene of a crash that slowed traffic on East Highway WW Sunday afternoon. 

Highway Patrol troopers said a driver lost control on the ice and hit a guard rail. Troopers also said that the driver was not hurt.

The crash took more than an hour to clean up, troopers directed traffic while they waited for a wrecker to come tow the car.

One trooper said this stretch of road had already been treated by MoDOT, but needed to be again.

Shortly after a MoDOT plow truck came through and plowed the road again.
