Five arrested near Auxvasse for narcotics, 70 firearms found
AUXVASSE - The Callaway County Sheriff's Office arrested five people Friday morning during a narcotics search at a residence in the 5100 block of County Road 280 near Auxvasse.
Deputies said they found methamphetamine, nearly 30 marijuana plants and several pounds of marijuana. They also found 70 firearms, some defaced and stolen, and defaced ATVs and motorcycles, according to a news release.
Two wanted fugitives from Miller County were also found during the search, the news release said.
The Fulton Police Department's special response unit, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Boone County Sheriff's Office helped with the search on Friday.
Darrin Smithee, of Auxvasse, was arrested on charges that included unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance and manufacturing.
Steven Redwine, of Tuscumbia, was arrested on charges of burglary, possession of methamphetamine, stealing a motor vehicle and stealing, deputies said.
Montie Stiers, of Fulton, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, the news release said.
Natasha Redwine, of Columbia, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic offenses.
Jennifer Quick, of Fulton, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Smithee, Steven Redwine, Stiers and Natasha Redwine are all being held at Callaway County Jail. Quick was released from the Callaway County Jail on bond.
This investigation is ongoing, and deputies said further charges and arrests were possible.
