Former Boone County Clerk dies at age 63
COLUMBIA - Longtime Boone County Clerk Wendy Noren died Sunday at age 63.
Noren served as county clerk for 35 years until she retired in June.
The current clerk Taylor Burks posted a tweet about her death.
The team and I were saddened by the news we received from the Noren family earlier today. Every day we work in that office, we are reminded of her passion and depth of knowledge. She will be sorely missed, but never forgotten, especially among Missouri’s County Clerks.— Boone County Clerk (@bocomoclerk) March 12, 2018
Wendy wrote a paper pushing for common data format for election systems in 2004! Any work that has been done on CDF since is a credit to Wendy. She taught herself to code because vendors took too long. She was an absolute force of nature.— Matthew Masterson (@mastersonmv) March 12, 2018
