JEFFERSON CITY - Former Camden County sheriff's deputy Leonard Jerome Wilson pleaded guilty earlier today to receiving child pornography as part of a plea agreement accepted by U.S. District Judge Stephen R. Bough.

The agreement also included Wilson surrendering his peace officer license and entering guilty pleas in two related state cases.

Wilson, 40, was employed as a Camden County sheriff's deputy when he was accused of sexual misconduct and behavior while on and off duty.

During an internal investigation into the allegations, deputies obtained a tablet and two cell phones which included 18 images of child pornography and 49 images of child erotica.

All of the images were of infant, toddler, and prepubescent children.

Under federal law, there is a mandatory minimum of five years in federal prison without parole up to a sentence of 20 years in prison without parole.
