Granlund's third period winner pushes Wild past Blues
St. Louis - The St. Louis Blues wrapped up their season long seven game homestand with a disappointing 3-2 loss to Minnesota.
Oscar Sundqvist and Alex Pietrangelo scored for the Blues. It was Mikael Granlund’s third period goal that broke the tie and eventually gave the Wild a win. Granlund scored after Blues defenseman Colton Parayko missed on a clearing attempt, allowing Granlund the breakaway opportunity. The Wild have won 10 of their last 12.
The loss drops St. Louis to 6-6-3 to start the 2018 campaign. After finishing the homestand 4-3, the Wild will now head on the road. They play in Chicago against the Blackhawks on Wednesday night before heading to Las Vegas and San Jose to close out the road trip.
