Homemade explosive found, Pulaski County man on the run
PULASKI COUNTY - Police said Monday a man is on the run in Pulaski County after officers found an improvised explosive device (IED) at a house south of Laquey.
Col. John Groves, with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, said officers were searching for Vernon D. Parker for violating his parole Saturday evening.
Groves said Parker led officers on a car chase from Laclede County to a house on Shawnee Road. Parker escaped when officers went to the door of the house, Groves said.
The homemade explosive was found during a search of the house and three people were arrested.
Police said Explosive Ordinance Disposal units were called from Fort Leonard Wood.
