The month of November so far...

11/13/18 Update: According to the National Weather Service in St. Louis, the observed snowfall at the Columbia Regional Airport was incorrectly communicated to them. The snowfall total for Columbia will be written in record books as 1.4", not 2.4" as was first reported.

COLUMBIA - In the past five days Columbia has broken three records, two for daily snowfall and one for a daily low temperature. On Thursday, November 8 a record 1.5" of snow fell, breaking the previous record of 0.3" from 1943. Next, on the morning of Saturday, November 10 a low temperature of 16-degrees broke the previous 1926 record of 18-degrees. A few days later another snow system moved through and that brought 2.4" of snowfall accumulation, shattering the 0.2" record from 1911.

While Tuesday, November 13 will be the coldest of the season with an expected low temperature of 13 and high temperature of 32, it will not break records. The record low is 7-degrees from 1986 and the record lowest high temperature is 24-degrees, also from 1986.

The remainder of the week should warm back to seasonal conditions by Friday before another shot of cold air moves in over the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving week looks rather seasonal with highs in the lower 50s and lows in the middle 30s.
