No. 8 Kentucky sweeps Missouri again
LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY - The Kentucky Wildcats swept the Missouri Tigers for the second time this season on Wednesday, dropping Missouri's record to 18-7.
The Tigers lost their momentum coming off of back-to-back sweeps over Alabama and South Carolina last week. Kentucky kept No. 18 Missouri down seven points in the first two sets despite its offensive effort.
Missouri's kill leader, Kylie Deberg, walked off with 13 kills. She came up short behind Kentucky's six-foot-two senior, Leah Edmond. The AVCA National Player of the Week recorded 18 kills, nothing compared to her senior season high of 30.
The Tigers' 23 attack errors, eight service errors, and four reception errors contributed to the loss.
With only three games left in the regular season, the Tigers will try to improve their record in Tennessee on Sunday.
