Osage Beach police pursuit ends with driver jumping into lake
OSAGE BEACH — The Osage Beach Police Department arrested 50-year-old Terry Dickens on Thursday after following the vehicle from a Home Depot store to Lake Ozark, according to a news release from the Osage Beach Police Department.
Dickens refused to stop for the officers and dodged several stop sticks before hitting one of the sticks, which caused two of the stolen Ford F350's tires to deflate.
Dickens then fled on foot toward Lazy Gators and jumped into the lake.
He was later taken into custody after officers convinced him to swim back to shore.
After passing a medical examination Dickens was charged with tampering with a motor vehicle, resisting arrest and driving while revoked/suspended. No bond has been set.
