Pulaski County man charged in knife attack
WAYNESVILLE - The Pulaski County Prosecutor filed charges against a suspect after he allegedly attacked a man with a knife.
James Acklin was charged with first degree assault and armed criminal action for allegedly stabbing the victim 5 or 6 times in the arm and chest Sunday.
A news release said the victim and Acklin were in a during a heated argument at the time of the attack. He then left the area with a female suspect but was arrested sometime after.
The victim sustained life threatening injuries during the attack and named Acklin as his attacker. A second male suspect also gave a statement of admission to the attack.
Acklin is currently being held in the Pulaski County Jail. His bond is set at $750,000.
