Snowfall looked a bit different Sunday morning
COLUMBIA - Snowflakes in mid-Missouri looked particularly large Sunday morning, and roads were slushy at times.
The unusual snowflake size was a result of temperatures being around and slightly above freezing, according to KOMU 8 Weathercaster Matt Beckwith.
He said the warmer weather causes snowflakes to partially melt and stick together while they are falling.
Roads are mostly dry, though a few slick spots may form as temperatures fall into the upper 20s Sunday night, Beckwith said.
