Tigers Remain Undefeated With Win Against Murray State
COLUMBIA - Mizzou resumed their home stand Thursday night with a competitive game against the Murray State Racers.
The Tigers opened the game with Julissa Cisnero's fifth goal of the season to lead 1-0 at the 12 minute mark and continued to add pressure for the rest of the half.
Less than ten minutes into the second, the Racers tied the game 1-1 with a goal by Symone Cooper to the right post.
A late hand ball by the Racers, however, allowed Missouri's Madison Lewis to score a PK and "hand" the Tigers another win with the final score being 2-1.
Mizzou improves to 5-0 on the season and will next host Loyola Chicago on Sept. 8.
